April 4th, 2008: Honu World Charity

Shelly paint's a turtle (honu) for charity!

Produced by Mo Media, Shelly was sponsored by Ann and Thomas Hill (One of Shelly's largest collectors) to paint for charity. Along with several other Artists who had individual sponsors.

The Auction was Sept. 19th 2008 Shelly's Honu brought in $3,500 to the Sponsors Charity "The Three Ring Ranch" A Wildlife Sanctuary in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Once it was finished Shelly displayed it in the gallery where it was a huge hit. The Holualoa Elementary Hula Troop even stopped by to perform a dance for Shelly about a turtle swimming through the flowers, so of course Shelly could not resist letting these little flowery angels name her turtle. Shelly presents " Honupua" (Turtle flower).
